The Groot Trek
Today.... March 1st, 2004For all the non South Africans this title means the big move!
We went for a viewing of a flat on Sunday that seems to suit our needs. It looks great. Bathroom is a bit small, but its better than the one we have currently.
Congratulations to someone who used to work at my office. I don’t have the Norton Corporate password. We had a virus outbreak today! MyDoom.F
Someone needs to teach virus writers how to name their viruses. MyDoom.F? Cmon guys. Surely you can do better. Its the same with naming hurricanes. Hurricane Andrew? Surely “Hurricane Holy Shit This is a Big One”TM is a better name.
For those who ridiculed me about my use of Latin in one of my previous posts, I am appalled. Latin is the birth place of all languages. I am disgusted :). Oh well. My daily rant is over! Done
For the one known as “The Dork” Kudos to you! Well done on your interpretation on one of previous posts.
Enjoy the day.

Yep.. Latin IS the birthplace for at least most western languages, BUT why do you think they all moved away from it!!? ‘Cos the pansy Romans just couldnt take the HEAT!!
Vatican city is to my knowledge the only place left on earth that it is still spoken.
But look at English, French etc. you dont see THEM dying off now do you?? They’re the strong ones (of the Latin-based lingos).
Of course there is bound to be some time in the future when our ex-latin-based languages and societies will come crashing down around our ears just like the Romans’ did, but until that time I will be separated from Latin and PROUD!!
.. and dont get me started on Chinese!
