What wonderful news today. Froogle has finally been launched in the UK. Now we can simply browse to Froogle, type the product in that we want and it returns the products from hundreds of different stores. Click to sort by price from lowest to highest and you can simply choose the cheapest item.
What I hope this will do to the internet shopping market in the UK is force the online shops to drop prices, now that the prices from every shop can be shown and sorted….
Unfortunately I think this kind of shopping only works if you know exactly what you want (e.g. a computer game, a specific golf club). Searching for “diamond ring” brings results that you would never consider and means searching sometimes fruitlessly for what you want. But if it works for you, great. Its a free technology and if you aren’t satisfied, you can always ask Google for your money back! :P
