I was just about to throw my laptop at a poor unsuspecting child because of the battery life on this stupid thing. I used it all last night while it was plugged in which does charge the battery. Before I turned it off, I checked the battery. Full and only running on mains power. This morning I wake up, come to Starbucks for some coffee and wifi and about 15 minutes later, I have only 20 minutes remaining.

After some expletives scaring the customers, I found that one of the power settings you can set your computer to is “Max Battery”. Once I set the computer to this setting I know have 45 minutes remaining. Why on earth would you not want it to maximize battery life when you are being powered by the battery? Oddness is MS again

Yes, after a day off on Friday because of being sick and all, a bunch of us decided to go off to Portsmouth for some shopping. Sarah and I took the train in - I love trains. Day was great! Bought 2 pairs of Oakley shoes. Nice and cool.

After that a little coffee, a little BLT we went bowling. Nothing exciting - we didn’t break anything (that sucked).

But here comes the shit part. Back on the train, I noticed my voice getting a little croaky. Now, I CAN’T SPEAK! Stupid bloody virus/bacteria/alien probe…… I hate feeling like this. I need to blame someone and that someone is Ikea. Bloody Swedish furniture. Never trusted it. Oh well, hopefully by Tuesday I will be better

Otherwise, what are you all buying me for Christmas? Hopefully this.

I just read this post and I noticed my writing style is shit today. No idea why, but I probably could blame it on my lack of Oros or the fact that I was born on a Monday (and yes I had to look that up).

So this whole week I have been fighting a cold. Last night my body said “No more” Now I am feeling really shit. At least I can still play XBox. Apparently this is sickness is a little contagious as some other people at work have it too.

On another funny note, Grant only woke up at 9 this morning when he already should have been there. TeeHee.

Hey All

I must write this little post on the camera that my Dad got my sister for her 21st birthday. I bought it from a great little company called UKDigital. It cost £229.99 for this little beauty. It is a Fuji Finepix S5500. 4 megapixels of outstanding quality. The photos it took can be seen on my gallery here and here.

What a performer. I also bought a 128MB card to add some space to the camera. This came in handy with all the photos we took on our holiday. The image quality is outstanding. It has a 10X optical zoom which comes in handy whenever high-quality photos are needed. The software is a little dated and needs updating but it works and that is what matters the most. The body feels sturdy and feels like it will take a drop without damaging anything.

The viewfinder is an LCD screen instead of looking through a lens. I initially thought of this as a drawback but now when looking through the viewfinder, you will know what the photo will look like once taken and viewed.

This is an outstanding camera. I would recommend this camera to anyone starting to take photos and want a few more features than other cameras out there.
