Leaving on a (Blog)Jet Plane
IT Chapters, Subtext March 21st, 2007I was recently given a license to a BlogJet (legal of course, but not revealing from where). Its a pretty nifty desktop blogging application; much more so than Windows Live Writer in its stability and features. I’ll be testing it out for my current blog and some of the others that I haven’t revealed.
On that note, any suggestions on cheap Windows hosting with a (very) small SQL Server? I’m looking to move over to Subtext as my blogging engine and am requiring some space.

I’ve looked at the demo, never used it before, but I don’t see why one should buy it (at the cost of 40$ when you have exactly the same things (and even more due to the plugin model) with Windows Live Writer.
As hosting I suggest webhost4life… it’s not as cheap as other, but is a great value for money: 130US$ per one year with 2Gb of disk space (can be normal file usage or DB space), any number of .NET applications, and even multiple root applications (allowing you to host multiple websites on the same account).
I’m using it since 1 year, and also the support is very good.
Ray, if you decide to go with wh4l can you please use my referrer id (kodama) with you sign in. Thank you

Host Department is alright for small sites. I used them for a while just while I built my 2k3 box.

I’ve heard good things about WebHost4Life - I think Phil used to host his blog there. I host on my own box so I’m afraid I’m not of much help on this topic - but I’m looking forward to seeing your blog up and running on Subtext!
